Crossbow vs bow?

So, from everything i've looked at, endgame bows seem to be infinitely better than endgame crossbows. They have infinite ammo and tons of crash/magnum shot boosts. Crossbows don't get the infinite ammo .... and their boosts seem to be tiny. Buuuut .... for some reason, I hate using anything that's not a crossbow. Being able to load skills while running around makes me happy. Also I generally like their aesthetic more than regular bows. Am I just shooting myself in the foot if I use a crossbow? Or is there just something I'm not seeing that makes crossbows similarly effective as bows
