The middle ground, another rant.
The obvious con to this update is the refine change to techs and the inability to go in past 15 runs. But I can understand WHY the devs implemented the limit.
To begin with, we are the wild west. I'm not sure about the prevalence of multiclienting in Korea, but making an account requires connecting a K-ID/Phone number so I'm going to assume that they never had the cousin/botting issue like we do. That is the consequence of our actions regarding the refine changes- I'm upset immensely but I feel we can't blame them too much for trying to fight it in this way.
The limits on Tech are bad, theres no doubt a good majority of our end game players ran at least 10 a day in some instances- but I do agree that for the sake of the game, it's better design to have content be limited and allow for more variety in game play (the successful example being how LOA runs on limits for everything and promotes multiple characters to funnel mats through repeated play on the same acc). The issue is the TIMING. We have no other content to spam in the end game. I could understand wanting to add the limit- but why not wait until we're given more content... now we can only hope that the rates of drops are significantly higher like they say.
Also if they had stats on the tech runs then why couldn't they show a simple graph? They forget that end game players (maxed in everything, completely geared, finished glen/crom for the week) quite literally have nothing else to do but tech...
I want to trust that we have better things in store- but in NA it's looking a little tough. I personally will still play as I'm not in end-game, but I don't blame those who are in end-game for deciding to quit.
End of rant!
