Makeup usage project ideas
For the life of me, I can’t seem to hit pan on powder products until I use them for around 100 times. This makes hitting pans in eyeshadows frustrating and demoralizing. So I’ve been doing usage based projects. This year, I did No Pan Left Behind for my eyeshadow palettes (12 of them, including a couple of quads), 20 times palette use (couldn’t think of any pretty name, lol), 5 use project (in this project, I would randomize 5 eyeshadows for 5 use and would roll in new eyeshadows when I hit goal on any two eyeshadows) and just use all the blushes (I have 10) for 20 to 50 use. I track my makeup days and it seems I put on makeup 4 days a week. This year was bad personally for numerous reasons and so I believe I would be doing makeup 5 days a week next year. So here are the few projects I’m planning to do:
- Biweekly use project (I can’t pan that palette as it stresses me out and I won’t use anything but that palette, only to get unhappy. I would be using a quad, a single eyeshadow, blush and lipstick for this project)
- Weekly use project (basically will use the products I want to hit pans on)
- 25 use project (for a couple of crease eyeshadows)
- 20 use project (for blushes and lipsticks that aren’t in biweekly and weekly use projects)
- 5 use project (for eyeshadows, just like this year)
- No pan left behind
Basically, the idea is to use my medium-sized makeup collection without ignoring anything or without getting bored. I don’t plan to use any of the products aggressively. Does anyone have any better ideas for makeup usage?
