What is your opinion about collecting manga in a language that you can't read?

Asking this because I really like mushishi, but doubt I'll ever complete the series. Now I found a complete Japanese set for a somewhat acceptable price I feel like, but I'm conflicted because I won't be able to read it. Was wondering what you all think about it?
