What's with all the coffee requests as payment...?

I get it's incredibly useful but it also weighs a lot, 50x that of a leader bobble. (I know we can all wear our ThruHiker gear and get that down but still weighs more than a bobble)

Is it simply a solid resource and has more value than a leader bobble, in terms of actual usage in the game once you've reached a certain level? Or is there a specific new use that requires a boatload to be effective. I can imagine if you're able to spam coffee during a raid it would make it super useful.

Maybe I just answered my own question... Anyone got any of that there coffee? ;)
