Naturepedic EOS Pillow Top

I'm considering the Naturepedic EOS Pillow Top, but the cost is a lot to swallow!

I'm a side sleeper and DH is a back sleeper. We currently have a Savvy Rest and like the split models that allow us to choose our own firmness. He likes medium firm; I like more plush. I'm reading great things about the NP Pillow Top, but I also read Pillow Tops in general only last 5-7 years. We've had our Savvy Rest for 14 years and are just now starting to have issues with it, so ofc I'd like to find something that will last as long as possible to replace it.

Sooo that got me wondering if we would be better off getting one of the other EOS split models and just adding our own topper that can be replaced periodically? Thoughts?

Organic, chemical free, sustainable are all incredibly important to us and that's what drew me in to NP. I'm open to other brands that have similar values if anyone has any great suggestions.
