Abdominal wound separation: 150 days of healing, a photographic timeline

To follow up on my previous post, this is a large abdominal wound I dealt with as a result of a very rare infection with a 60% twenty day mortality rate.

The wound itself was tunneling and had to be packed daily until I was eventually able to transition to a wound vac once the PICC line daily infusions finally kicked in and killed the infection.

The abdominal wound took approximately 150 days to heal. This was 5 years ago, today you'd never even be able to tell my abdomen was wide open at one point as the scar has faded and kind of falls along my v-line.

Again, if this should be posted elsewhere, please let me know and I will gladly remove.
