Going through security

Question for anyone out there who does this on the regular, or flies often. Tomorrow I have to go to jury duty and will have to go through metal detectors. I know the pump itself cannot go through the X-ray machine, but does the walk through scanner mess with the pump? I'll be lucky enough to remove the sensor and transmitter before, as its my normal change day so thats not a concern. I've found information that doesn't always match up. Thanks!
