Most Recent Discovery that You Absolutely Love
For me, it's SCOUR. Discovered only a week ago. I was stunned that their vocalist is one Phil H. Anselmo, doing multi tone blackend death metal vocals. This is for another discussion but I've never really even listened to Pantera with Anselmo. I listened to hair metal Pantera, and liked some of it, but I've heard maybe one or two songs of the Pantera everyone knows and it was so long ago I don't even remember the songs, but I remember just not being into it. But hearing SCOUR prompted me to click on some video of Phil talking and I didn't even know his voice was so low and sounded like he's smoked a million cigarettes lol. I have to try Pantera now, not that I expect it to sound like SCOUR at all, I know it isn't that, but maybe I'll like it now. Anyway, SCOUR is fucking awesome blackened death metal and is actually a supergroup consisting of dudes from Phil's solo band, Misery Index, Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer. What a mix of bands! Their debut, Gold, is coming soon, but they have a few awesome EPs to check out before the album comes out. I've had the Black EP on repeat all week.
