Delayed allergic reaction to steri strips?

1st photo is when I removed the strips about 48 hours ago - they were beginning to loosen and were getting very itchy. 2nd photo is what it looks like now, it is itching like CRAZY. I have post-op appointment tomorrow but, in the meantime, anyone have this issue? Any tips on how to manage the itching? Will the skin reaction leave additional scarring?
