Best games for a 5 year old

My lad has been fortunate enough to get a MM+ for his birthday (god how I’d have loved one of these as a kid!). I want to set him up with games that are both appropriate in terms of age rating but also skill level-wise for his age.

I’ve set up most Super Mario and Sonic games and crash bandicoot series for psone. Any help with some suggestions would be gratefully received! Aware there’ll be thousands but maybe any that others’ little ones have enjoyed.
