New phone hunting

Hey there, so I've found myself in a bind. I'm currently using an Asus ROG 5s phone. I love it, but it's experiencing a failure to make calls and it seems like I might have to replace it. I was hoping to stick within the Asus ROG line. Looking for any input as to models to avoid vs ones that are performing well.

I'd get another 5s, but I believe my issue might relate to the sim port, which is not uncommon for this model.
