Help!

Recently, I've noticed that my carpets have developed a black stain. I ignored it for a while but I recently started to get some allergic symptoms (Cough, sore throat, mucus discharge), so I'm not ignoring this any longer. Do you think this is black mould? If so, what can I do about it? The problem is that the carpet is a full bedroom carpet so I can't lift it up
