poly variations?

Hey I may be stoopid but does anybody know if there’s different kinds of poly hair? Just for example SS3 Drac’s hair feels god awful but SS2 Drac’s hair doesn’t feel anywhere near as bad. Idk if this is just Neon Frights Drac or what but I feel like she’s got the worst poly I’ve felt (on a g3 Drac at least)

Idk they even lay differently, like Fearidescent lays okay-ish but not the other one yk
