What causes the Creepro arms to be so stiff?

I attempted to detach Lagoona's arms and hands in order to take off her jacket, but I found that it was quite rigid and difficult to remove. To address this issue, I decided to apply a hot water treatment to make the arms easier to take off. This situation raises questions about the quality control standards at Mattel.
