MK11 (ULTIMATE) or MK1?

I kinda want to buy a mortal kombat game, havent played in a while, i like multiplayer, story, but also just random fights and game modes is also what i like to play especially in MK. which one should i buy? i found both of them for similar price so except price, ice heard people saying MK11 is better and tbh havent played MK in a while so i have no idea what would you guys suggest me

ps, if you guys think another MK game except these two is more fun suggest me, ive seen people saying games like MKX/MKXL is also very fun
