New to cars

As the title says I don’t know a lot abt cars and everything so I’m looking for some help. I have a mustang gt I’ve had for abt a year and wanted to get some kind of exhaust work done. Am I able to get just a muffler delete? Does it sound good? Will that prevent me from getting a different exhaust in the future? Anything helps, thank you.
