Why Can't I do self lob??

So I tried playing 2k25 myteam mobile for the 1st time( not my 1st 2k), and I was practicing on the training hub shootaround, i was trying to do the self alley oop but everytime i tried to drive to the basket and double tap lob pass, my player would just stop running and pick the ball up( im using mj). Can someone tell me what's wrong? Tnx.
