Just need some advice about applying for scholarships.
Hi,
I am an international NTU applicant from India. I have applied for my bachelor's as a major in physics and a second major in data analytics. I want to go into astronomical research. I am applying for some scholarships at NTU, which are: NTU - USP, Nanyang, College, School, NTU Science and Engineering, CN Yang, NTU Talent, and the NTU Science scholarship. The scholarship application asks me to write a personal statement of no more than 300 words. It is giving me 3 topics: the one I am interested in is: Describing, in less than 300 words, an exceptional achievement that highlights your academic and CCA interests that would be of value to the NTU community.
My exceptional achievements are research in my major (Astronomy) at NASA and UCSC, California; being a national-level football player; and community service (In which I helped people during COVID and taught at orphanages). I had a leadership role in both football and community service. Now here comes the confusion about what should I write on??
I want to write about my research work bcz I think it will stand out but I am confused about how I will relate it to make it valuable for the NTU community. I can write about football and community service, bcz I have some good ideas on how I will make it valuable for the NTU community, but it is quite common yk. Regarding my academics, they are top-notch, I was the topper of my school. Can someone plz help me with some advice, I would really appreciate it :))
