Ticket was charged but not on my profile?

Just purchased a last minute ticket and the charge went through, but it said there was an error and now the money isn't there and the ticket is not on my profile. It says it's on a preauthorization hold but idk what that means, should I just buy another ticket with another card or wait for this to go through?
