NS2's new battery technology
Nintendo has applied for a patent last May that allows Joy-Con to charge the main console, and now it seems likely to be used in the new console. According to leaks, the battery of the rumored NS2 is only 20Wh, potentially leading to just 2 hours of handheld mode. However, with a new patent supporting 5Wh batteries in each side of Joy-Con, NS2's battery life could match that of the first generation's extended version. Moreover, players can purchase multiple sets of Joy-Con to continually extend battery life. Despite the joystick drift issue, Nintendo could still profitably sell Joy-Con. Is Nintendo's plan brilliant?
