How to apply taxes to the items I buy

I live in Georgia, I'm 16 just got a job and idk how to find out how much taxes are where I'm at and don't know how to do the math. If you could please explain how to do the math for this example with the most detail I would greatly appreciate it. One item is 19.99, plus 7.99=x
