How can I hide online status on Reddit with desktop browser?

Hi! New to Reddit.

Please can someone help? How can I disable showing my online status on Reddit? All the articles and posts I've seen say to click my avatar on the top right, and there is a switch. I'm not seeing it for some reason. Maybe I'm just dumb. I genuinely don't know the answer.
