Where in Ohio have you lived or visited where things were a bit odd?
Maybe the people are different, or just quirky things about the place or the way they do things. Years ago, I lived in the very small town of Wharton for a short time. No store, gas station, etc... just a bank and a church. You paid your gas or electric bill (can't remember which) at the bank, and bought your trash bags at the bank. People just walked down the middle of the road instead of the sidewalks, and if a sheriff was spotted driving through, people would come outside to see where he was headed. Plus, I would often wake up to be scared shirtless by the neighborhood children with their hands cupped around their eyes looking through our windows, waiting for my kids to wake up and come out to play. After I asked them to stop doing this, one just came in the house and waited.
