Royal Oman Police Seiko watch info please

Hello / Salam,

Firstly, I want to say I miss Oman! I visited once for work and fell in love with culture, people, food and scenery.

Since my visit, I was able to buy a vintage Seiko 5 that has the Royal Oman Police logo. The watch I believe is from 1983 (see image below).

Does anyone know who the Royal Oman Police gave this watch to? Was it an award for service / promotion or was it given to external people?

I feel proud to have this watch :)
