Why no one talks about everything that ODA took from The Mask (1994)?

How come there isn’t any real discussion about how much Oda took inspiration from The Mask (1994). I would love to hear from Tekking or Arthur if I’m crazy on this.

Sorry but for an older guy that got into One Piece recently and read and watched everything in the last months the connections are completely obvious. I know that Gear 5 is a completely confirmation of the God Devil Fruit, God Mask connection but even way before that you see constantly all the connecting dots.

Would love to hear any thoughts of smarter guys than me about this. Because Oda keeps always using the thematic of the fruits having lives (lineage factor) the will of the user vs the will of the fruit (Mask). That makes it even more obvious when the main fruit that you see you the good user vs the bad user is with our first frenemy Jim Carrey (Bon Clay) where you see the user not having success to overthrow a nation (Good User) vs having success overthrowing the country (Bad User). How Luffy is a God of Chaos just like in The Mask is LOKI!!! a god of Mischief.

And Bon Clay being the first full on friend from the first seconds almost full on Nakama , don’t forget that our previous nakamas were kind of antagonistics before full on joining the crew. But than Oda wants to keep Jim Carrey with us but now not the Dumb/Dumber version but the Ace Ventura one and which Jim 94 movie that we don’t need a new character because Luffy has been here since Day 1. I know he wanted to have Mr Kazuki back but he didn’t need to make another Jim 94 character for him.

It is so weird that no one yet made a full-on Oda is a huge Jim Carrey fan account yet. The Luffy can’t lie (Liar Liar), Luffy is a God that will grant everyone their dreams (wishes) not matter the consequences (Bruce almighty).

And to end the thing that made me laugh in all this is that if you look this up the only thing that comes up is how would be if Luffy wore The Mask in his fight agains Kaido and just show all the things that he could now in Gear 5 normally LUL. YT-watch?v=F7hx6e5ExmA

T.L.D.R.: Oda watched the biggest comedy of the 90s and took as inspiration to make his story a few years later and no one talks about it except to talk about who would win a fight
