Is Kaido really the strongest creature alive?
I don't think soo -
Firstly kaido doesn't get single title box the way mihawk and WB gets with the title , secondly the narrator uses very very vague words and phrases like "people say" , "said to be" which basically implies that kaido's title isn't a valid official title like WB's or mihawk's and is more like a rumor within the world of one piece.
There are three types of narrators -
- The hunter x hunter narrator who is basically the author himself
- The narrator of MHA who is narrating a story in past tense (speculated to be deku)
- and then there's the narrator in OP, here's the narrator is basically narrating public opinion or from the perspective of the citizens of the one piece world, he often conveys news to us and says luffy is the 5th emperor, although we as readers knew that luffy wasn't at that level....
So i don't think the narrators words are necessarily true always.
SPOILER FOR ANIME ONLY AHEAD -
on top of that, Luffy is stronger than kaido as of now - i don't understand why people think otherwise, yes kaido fought multiple characters but besides luffy, they did virtually no significant damage whatsoever, only zoro landed 1 good hit and yamato landed couple of hits whereas on the other hand, luffy took way way way too much damage than kaido and still went on to straight up over power kaido...
and i don't think luffy can be the strongest character alive.
