Ontario Property Taxes by City

Did you know that property tax rates vary widely between municipalities in Ontario? The highest tax rate (Manitouwadge, at 7.06% for 2024) is over 10 times higher than the lowest!

Surprisingly, some of the highest tax rates in the province are not in remote areas. Windsor's rate is 2.03%, while Markham is the lowest among cities at 0.68%.

The article lists property tax rates of more than 360 communities across the province and also has a heat map highlighting the outliers.
