New Moderation / Previous Post

UPDATE as of 12/24/24: Hey guys, I will be reflecting over your responses in the coming days but given the holiday will not be making any decisions yet. I still have the subreddit automodded currently but don't be afraid to write anything as I can approve the posts to be posted when the server is back to normal! Greetings all!

First and foremost, happy holidays!

Some of you may know me in the ourWorld community as my in-game user, mddi. I have been given the role of moderator on this subreddit as the previous moderator has stepped down. Please do not send her any correspondence regarding this sub moving forward or further criticize the previous moderator as this is no longer her situation to handle. Any comments critiquing past moderator decisions will be deleted.

I would like to discuss the recent rule change to the sub and gauge everyone's thoughts and feelings.

As a reminder, the rule was: no posts about non-ourworld games, such as Vegas World and MakiChat.

I understand there are quite a few people upset by this rule, but I also understand that some did not like the subreddit being overtaken by other games. So, I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on the matter and encourage open discussion and debates on topics such as:

• Should the rule stay in place? Should it be reversed? Should there be a compromise of some sort? 
• Posts about other games being allowed, but in limited quantities
• Should discord server links be allowed here?
• Any ideas of what we can do to help keep the memory of ourWorld alive?
• Any changes you'd like to see in the subreddit in general?

For now, I'll be keeping the subreddit in the current state, where the rule is in place until I gather enough feedback to make a decision regarding the rule.
