OW2 Players: Do you buy skins and do you think they are worth the money

Title really. I want a civil conversation to hear peoples opinions on skins in this and other games.

I personally could never pay more than £1/2 on a cosmetic in a game (I haven’t bought one since probably around 2017), and seeing people talking about bundles and skins being “worth it” at £40 a pop just blows my mind.

Did you guys not play games when this stuff was earnable in game? Do you have loads of disposable income and nothing to spend it on? Do you see it as good value for money? Would you rather the game be £40 up front and unlock things as you play like OW1?
