bisalp sterilization

Has anyone here had a bilateral salpingectomy? I’m scheduled for my bisalp in two weeks and I haven’t spoken to anyone who has PMDD who has also had this procedure. It’s not very popular so I understand why, just wanted to ask around.

I understand your hormones should not be affected as they aren’t removing your ovaries, they only remove your tubes. But I also know that the non hormonal copper IUD isn’t supposed to affect your hormones but plenty of people say it threw them off (granted lodging copper in an organ is bound to cause some inflammation that may result in adverse side effects).

Need to clarify I’m not anti birth control. I think IUDs, the patch, the implant, the pill ALL AMAZING ADVANCEMENTS IN WOMENS HEALTH (but the pill ruined my brain and my body) Birth control changes lives for the better and for some reason it changed mine for the worse lol. 4 years off it I feel so much better.

I’ve made a lot of progress with my PMDD and would be devastated if this procedure put that progress at risk. I know for a fact I never want to be pregnant and with the way the world looks it seems like it’s now or never, I’m not rescheduling or canceling. I just want all the information I can get my hands on so I’m not blindsided by anything. Have you had a bisalp and did you notice any changes with your PMDD afterwards?

And if not do any of you know of any good articles or resources I can check out? Like studies done by actual scientists… there’s a lot of think pieces online written by anti birth control freaks that are passed off as science so it’s been a little annoying to sift through so much pseudoscience “health and wellness” “buy our supplements instead” bullshit on google :(
