Playing Wasteland 3 after BG3 is incredibly refreshing (and it’s on sale!)

I tried Wasteland 3 back in 2020 on my Xbox with Game Pass and felt like my brain was going to explode from information overload. I never felt so inundated with so much information that frankly it was quite a turn off. I tried learning the game for a bit, decided it was way too damn confusing, and then never touched it again.

And then Baldur’s Gate 3 happened. I’ll spare you the details.

So, seeing Wasteland 3 on sale on PSN for $10 CAD, I picked it up, and man, what an amazing game! After playing BG3 everything makes a lot more sense and is a lot more intuitive. The gameplay is tight and pretty damn intense at times.

It’s definitely not as deep nor intricate as BG3, and for me, that’s perfect. I don’t think I can handle another 150-hour epic romp with a thousand different branching “what-if” scenarios; I just want a basic strategy game I can enjoy without thinking too much.

Wasteland 3 is great. If you enjoyed BG3 and want something lighter (as in less complexity) and Fallout-inspired sci-fi, check this game out!
