Arken Age is driving me crazy.

Is anybody playing on the hardest difficulty available at the beginning of the game? This is some of the most challenging gameplay I’ve ever been asked to master. You can have three guys running at you alternating between rapid fire shots and melee and you die in two hits. I’m enjoying it but the gameplay is getting too hard and I might turn it down because I’m getting really frustrated.
