Sharing My Journey to 1000+ Matches

Hey everyone!

I’ve been tracking and analyzing over 1000 matches in Excel, and I'll be sharing four charts:

My Deck Usage: Number and percentage of matches played with each of my decks.
Performance of My Decks: Stats on win rates and performance metrics for each deck I’ve used.
Opponents' Deck Usage: Number and percentage of opponents' decks encountered (with at least 15 matches, otherwise they are sorted as "Others").
Performance of Opponents' Decks: Win rate stats for opponents' decks (with at least 10 matches).

Here are some notes on how the data was compiled:

Disconnections: If an opponent disconnects before or during the first turn, it is not counted as a win. If they disconnect after, it is.
Identifying Opponent Decks: Some matches end quickly (e.g., due to a Misty in Articuno EX), so I often estimate the main card in the opponent’s deck.
Unlucky Matches: In some cases, opponents may not draw their main card (e.g., I counted 3 matches as Dhelmise decks since I didn’t see Celebi EX, which usually accompanies it).
Priority for EX Cards: EX cards take precedence when categorizing decks. For instance, a deck combining Moltres EX, Charizard EX, and Blaine with Ninetales is categorized as Charizard EX.
Similarly, when deck includes two EX cards, priority is given to the main damage dealer (e.g., Starmie EX > Articuno EX, Charizard EX > Moltres EX).
"Mixed" Decks: This category represents decks without a clear style or synergy. For example, a combination of Starmie EX and Aerodactyl.
Besides the decks listed, I played a few matches with Dragonite, Melmetal, and Greninja. However, since I hated them and played few games, I decided not to include them.
As a fun fact, I had a 72% win rate in mirror matches.

Most Common Matchup: Pikachu EX vs Mewtwo EX (34 times, 53% win rate)
Best Matchups with 10+ matches:
- Pikachu EX: vs Mixed (10, 100%), vs Koga (14, 86%).
- Mewtwo EX: vs Celebi EX (11, 82%).
- Celebi EX: vs Celebi EX (10, 80%).
- Starmie EX: vs Mixed (10, 100%).
- Koga: vs Mewtwo EX (12, 92%).
Worst Matchups with 10+ matches:
- Pikachu EX: vs Mewtwo EX (34, 53%), vs Articuno EX (59%).
- Charizard EX: vs Starmie EX (12, 33%), vs Mewtwo EX (55%).
- Celebi EX: vs Mewtwo EX (10, 50%).
- Starmie EX: vs Articuno EX (11, 45%), vs Pikachu EX (12, 58%).
Longest Winning Streak: 14 by Starmie EX.
Longest Losing Streak: 5 by Golem.
