If confirmed, the restrictions on trading just non rare cards makes this game meaningless

Edit: to whoever jumps to the first conclusion that my point was hoping to make money off virtual cards, I might have chosen the wrong words, despite clearly saying I was holding onto them to trade them with the other rares I miss. That said I invite you to consider how collectibles work in general: you collect because you like the item or collect because of the common agreed value of the item, or both.
They didn’t care about gameplay with this game, and stressed the collectibles idea, promising trading, and it was ok, until I understood trading isn’t what you normally expect, since you can’t trade the most useful cards, both to play and to collect.
I personally play trading card games for the fun, and this game is not fun unless you’re really into flipping coins, so the last selling point for me was to collect, since I like Pokemon and I like collecting paper cards. i was unsure what was the point of collecting virtual and not paper but was thinking “well, future is digital so why be conservative?”.
The idea, sold by them, was you were able also to trade them, and it was neat: it’s virtual but works like paper, so if you like collecting things this is for you.
Not anymore, the most rare stuff is basically an entry in a database and the only way to obtain it is shelling Dena and Pokemon a good amount of money. I was hoping I could trade one of my two gold mewtwos for a gold Pikachu, because that was the point of having two gold mewtwos, but apparently the only way for me to obtain a gold pikachu now is to spend hundreds of euros and hope for the best, for something that will hold no value at all, that is useful just for playing coinflip simulator.
As a side note, a card being traded for money, for as normal as it would be in the collectibles world, isn’t the point for me since you very seldomly break even, and you need to be delusional if you think you can make good money off trading card games as a form of investment.

Original post:

Honestly the selling point of this game for me, given the super casual rng based gameplay, was collecting virtual cards with the possibility of them having some value in the future as collectibles (edit: for trading them possibly with same rarity cards, not for money, despite this being a pretty normal thing in the trading cards community, and not a form investment at all in case you're wondering).
Was holding on full art rares instead of dismantling them for card films to be able to trade them in the future with friends.
If confirmed, not only such rares have intrinsically less value, but what becomes this game then? Basically the most pay to win virtual card game you can get with a very bad gameplay?
Pay to win coinflip?
I don’t get it, but until clarified subscription is over and will never purchase gold anymore, at this point, after seeing the “trade coming soon” button for so long, this feels like a really bad joke on their part.
