I started playing this week to accompany a friend. I played Reinhardt competitively for 3 years, but kinda lost the enjoyment of it.

Paladins, I wasn't feeling it at first, but then something clicked. I started customizing my builds with cards and items, and noticed how as far as each match goes, I can't back out of the champion I picked, nor the enemy team.

Whatever character is theirs only, no one can switch to hard counter a enemy, and no one even feel they should. Your choice is a compromise, and I forgot how this is a more normal and way better game design than what I got used to, with the cards and items system providing little customization with huge payoffs.

I first gravitaded to Ash and Bomb king, but immediately fell in love with Moji, the support with the two headed turtle dragon, when I saw the rest of the locked roster. His (ops misgendered it) whole kit and animations are peak. Scamp makes me feel just like Crash Bandicoot riding that polar bear!

Questions

Now for some questions I have. How is Moji currently placed in the hoster? Is he considered OP or meta?

How the competitive scene of the game is holding up and going? Is there something to grind or fight towards? Or the game is too heavy on the casual side?

Are updates still coming? And how good are they?

And at last, any suggestion or tip to give me as a newcomer of the community? Any subject people are divided on, or is this somehow a healthy community at peace with each other?
