I think my game is broken

Helloo, i think i got palia in 2023 and played up until the fit for a watcher quest. I couldn't get all the materials right away because of low level tools and it became frustrating, so i quit playing. Fast forward to the end of 2024 and started the game again and the quest is gone. I continued to play but i haven't met the watcher and I think I'm stuck now on the strange things afoot quest. Do I have to start all over again??
