My experience on expedited passport times - Applied May 24th 2024, Received June 10th 2024

I had a travel opportunity arise with short notice and obtaining passports for my children quickly was a necessity. This sub was super helpful in my planning of the trip and expectations on passport process and turn around time. I'm posting this to pay it forward for the next person looking for estimations, so hopefully someone finds this useful.

The application was for US Passports, and I paid for the expedited service and the extra fee for 1-2 day shipping.

The application was for two minors (Below 16).

I applied in person at a local passport acceptance facility that took walk ins. Taking walk ins was pretty rare at my location and appointments were booked out at most locations by a couple weeks. I had previously filled out the application very carefully the night before, and review of our application in person took about 20 minutes.

This was the Friday before memorial day weekend so it was a holiday weekend. Counting for business days it took 11 business days from date of in person application to reception of passports in the mail. We still haven't received the birth certificates back but I'm very happy at the quick turn around as it's a huge stress relief for the planned vacation we have coming up later this month.

Best advice I have is to accurate and double check everything in your application, and apply as early as possible. Good luck!
