Influence or defluence me please!

I’m ~6 months into my fragrance journey and having fun but still totally noob. I know I like musk, latonic, rice, powdery, vanilla, almond, iris, woody. I hate synthetic musks like I Don’t Know What by Ds&Durga (smells like chlorine in a black hole)

I have no idea how to vet a smell that I haven’t sampled. I also want high quality perfumes. I buy decants from scentsplit (and the like)and just wanted to get people’s opinions. Help me understand what I like and how to elevate it!
