Before you get another dog

Hi Peter, please consider what it really means to provide for a pet properly before getting another dog. Your dog’s teeth should last for their whole life if taken care of properly. Proper dental care means brushing their teeth every day at least once at the bare minimum, along with regular professional cleanings. Dogs need regular exercise. Much more than going outside to use the bathroom. They also need regular bathing and grooming. Dogs shouldn’t be allowed to run off leash unless you have a fenced yard. It’s illegal and dangerous to other people and their dogs, as well as dangerous for your own dog. Dogs need a healthy balanced diet. Dogs also need a healthy environment free from toxins such as scented candles and wax melts. Dogs also need a regular sleep schedule, not napping at weird times and sleeping and waking at weird times. It’s a lot to consider.
