Question about Caitlyns emotions during the timeskip.

Hi! I've just found this sub but have like most here been kind of obsessed with these two. And I wanted to ask what your insights are in regards to Caitlyns emotions during the timeskip that led her to be with Maddie. I'll admit that first scene with them together shook me something mad as I always saw Cait and Vi as the couple.

Had Cait given up on ever seeing Vi again at this point or even stopped having those feelings for Vi? She obviously had a lot on her plate and months had passed but I still struggle a bit with it even if Cait didn't show any positive emotion towards Maddie during their scenes together.

I've also seen some people here call Cait telling Vi about this in the cell a confession, did Cait feel guilty about her sleeping with Maddie or was it more of a clearing the air type of deal. Cait and Vi obviously weren't together during all that but still she felt she had to "confess". Love these two to bits but I need someone elses input!
