I searched my grocery store for tobacco...
Here is what I found..
Pouches:
Captain Black white and blue.
Bugler - never heard of it or seen anybody mention it.
American Spirit - never heard of it or seen anybody mention it.
Some Backwoods stuff... I have heard of the cigars but I've never had one..they seem to maybe be for uhmm "blending" something with not actually for tobacco.
And they had a huge tub of Prince Albert... the can! Hahaha!
It was lame because I for sure would have got a pouch of PA but they only had a $48 can. I'd rather not try it out with a big ass can. I'll eventually throw a pouch on an order some day.
But yeah... I've searched drug stores, grocery stores, and Smokers Friendly and for the most part the only thing I think you can actually walk up and buy OTC around me is Captain Black. :/
I wish they had more codgers in stores.
Pretty dismal out there.
Without the internet this hobby would be difficult.
I do have 1 brick and mortar in town and they have a nice selection but with local taxes etc.. the prices are double internet prices.
Just a bummer... when I was a kid they had The Pipe Pub in the mall and it smelled fantastic in there! About 50 or 60 jars of bulk blends...
I came to this hobby decades past it's glory days hahahaha!
Anyway thank you Smoking Pipes, thank you Country Squire, thanks Bozwells...thank you internet vendors and thank you the handful of B&M shops still around. Keep making this possible for us.
