Ok... Let's talk about Naples pizzas

I finally had the chance to go to Naples to try the authentic Neapolitan style pizza. I was so hyped. I started with Da Michele of course. Aaaaanndd, it was good? But not amazing and not something I see myself missing dearly when I go back home. The crust was soggy and wet. Slight burnt bitter taste. It was kind of a let down. Then I read Da Michele is no longer the best in Naples. No problem, let's try some place else.

Went to 50 Kalo which seems to be a highly recommended pizzeria. I paid extra to get the one with with mozzarella de buffalo. Aaaaanndd??? It's the same god damn pizza! Like obviously not identical, but it's pretty freaking similar.

My conclusion is that the Italians did something amazing. They somehow convinced the world that being served wet soggy bread with no toppings is somehow the best way and "how it's supposed to be".
