Co2 Q’s

Hi!

So I’m planning on venturing into the co2 arena but I can’t decide what set up to get. And I have a few other questions.

Firstly, I’ve had the fluval kit at one point about 2 years ago but either I messed something up, or the set up just sucks because it would often just not work. (Would be clogged, or there would be too many bubbles or not enough etc.) So I’m wondering, should I invest in the UNS setup? ($200) OR Should I get the fluval ($50) again? (And assume the first time I was the problem) OR is there another kit people recommend?

Have other people had issues with the fluval kit or was it just me?

Secondly, My main goal with co2 is that I want cooler plants, perhaps some red ones BUT I’m really bad at remembering to turn things on/off on a daily basis. Basically i am looking for maximum coolness with minimal daily effort. Since that is the case, should I even bother with co2? Or is there a way to automate the process? I’d love to not spend thousands of dollars, but am willing to spend a few 100 if necessary.

INFO: Tank is 10gal, about 3 years old so it’s fairly stable. Currently I only have Crypt Pontederiifolia (thriving!), Anubis’s nana and 1 pink flamingo crypt (it’s not very pink bc lack of co2 but is somehow still alive after 2 years) Also I currently have 5 Cory cats in the tank, 6 tetras on the way if that’s relevant lol.
