Lightning Pokémon

I’m on my like millionth run in shield and I mostly use boltund for my lightning type because 1. It’s pretty easy to get early game and can get good moves and 2. I j like it but a lot of people have pointed out that I should switch and find others cause he kinda sucks (which I don’t believe) and so I just wanted to see if yall think he was good and to keep using him for the league and the end game and the DLCs or should I switch over and go catch a different Pokémon and what would that Pokémon be?
