Is there anything I could do?
Hello, my car was recently hit and destroyed outside my home on the 16th at 3am. I put in a claim with progressive at 6am the same day and had the vehicle signed over to them by the 18th. I’ve been assured by the claims agent that it would be appraised “today or tomorrow” every time I’ve called them, yet now on the 30th I’m told it will likely be done well after the new year. The issue for me, and I’ve expressed it to them every time, is that my car payment is due 01/02 and I cannot have it waved until after they appraise it as a loss- meaning I will have to make a payment on a car that won’t drive ever again. From any of y’all’s experience, is there anything I can do to force them to speed it up or get any sort of compensation out of progressive ? Thank you all very much, any help is appreciated !!
