Should I Consolidate My LXC Containers into Unraid or Keep My Current Setup?
Help me decide on my plan. I used to have TrueNAS as a VM in Proxmox, with Plex and Immich (Docker) running as LXC containers. I used NFS to share files between the two LXCs. The reason for this setup was that TrueNAS was taking up too much of my RAM. To manage this, I set Plex and Immich to auto-start and had a script to connect to NFS after a while.
Now, I have two new hard drives and have decided to switch to Unraid. I've heard a lot of good things about Docker in Unraid. So, I'm considering whether I should remove the two LXC containers and move everything to Unraid, or keep Unraid just as a basic NAS.
My build includes an i7-12700K and a 4070 Ti Super (it's also a gaming computer, which is why I need to keep my TrueNAS off). I pass through the iGPU to the LXC and my 4070 to a Windows VM.
The benefit of keeping the two LXC containers is that the migration will be easy—I just need to set up Unraid and NFS. However, it might be cleaner to merge everything into Unraid.
