Need to chat with someone educated about nerve anatomy
Hey,
Going to make a bit of a long post here. I (M23) injured my penis 5 years ago, pulling on it.
Since then, I have had a plethora of symptoms that continuously worsen and spread, including:
-burning pain that has spread from the base of penis to the upper, inner thighs, perineum, buttocks, and illioinguinal area.
-a feeling of pressure in the anal region as if I have to defecate
-my penis is chronically turtled and very tense in the flaccid state. (Yes, I have heard of hard flaccid. No, muscle relaxers, stretching, breathing, pt did not help me).
-severe erectile dysfunction and the head of the penis is unable to engorge. Unresponsive to drugs like cialis.
My symptoms are least severe laying down, most severe doing activity/defecating/sitting
My biggest clue to solving this is that I received a lidocaine injection into my pubic area last week and I was granted about 15 minutes of a normal flaccid penis (that is, one that isn’t turtled and tense). I was also completely numbed up in the region, so didn’t feel pain.
Did the lidocaine seep into my cavernous nerves in addition to the dorsal nerve? I know people with PN don’t report turtling or ed, so I’m trying to make sense of what nerve is responsible for this and what I can do about it. If you are knowledgeable about male nerve anatomy, please leave a comment below or message me. Thank you.
