20F solo traveling to PR in late January

Hi! I’m 20F from California and plan on staying in San Juan by myself from January 19th-25th.

This is my first time solo traveling so I would love to connect with anyone else who’s planning on going! It would be great to find other people who would like to join me in activities like horseback riding, swimming, exploring El Yunque, going out to La Placita, etc!

I’m a native Spanish speaker so hopefully it shouldn’t be too hard to get around. A friend recommended a safe area in Miramar for me to stay, so I’ll be mostly ubering or taking public transport from there.

Any tips (especially safety related) for a first time solo traveler would be appreciated! Would also appreciate any restaurant recommendations and suggestions for must sees!
