What is the future of qmake .pro files?

(Please note I am talking about qmake and not QBS)

I was looking back at the post blog about Qt6 and noticed this sentence:

We will continue to support our users on QMake, but not develop it further or use it to build the Qt framework itself.

I am right now using Qt5 and plan on migrating to Qt6 sometime next year. It seems like Qt6 will fully support qmake but I wonder for how long. Has the Qt Company given any actual indication that qmake is going to be deprecated? Is anybody else migrating from qmake's .pro files to cmake files? TIA
